Section Tips: Setup (filter results)

Activate T>O>S>Display Selection>Allow Selection in HLR and Shaded Modes to allow you to select hidden edges through a shaded model.

Add your own parts to a forming folder. Identify the folder as such (RMB in Design Library window > Forming Tools Folder).

Change T>S>Document Templates>Prompt user to select document template to pick the template whenever a new part is created or inserted.

Change the view representation (shaded, tangent edges) by selecting view, then View>Display.

Control a part's external references with RMB>List External References.

Create a preview of a configuration by opening the assembly, activating the configuration, and saving it with the active configuration.

Deactivate (temporarily or permanently) all external references. Lock All allows you to unlock the references later. Break All permanently gets rid of the external references.

Define whether a new in-place component uses the default template or one you specify via T>O>S>Default Templates.

Display several additional features of the FeatureManager design tree for surfacing via T>O>S>Feature Manager show Lights Cameras, SolidBodies, SurfaceBodies.

Modify your standard views by orienting a view, picking Front from the browser and selecting Update Standard Views from the menu. Reset it back to original views after you choose your custom view.

Understand that for selection purposes anything more than 10% transparent is transparent, otherwise it's opaque. When there are transparent components in an assembly, it will select from the opaque components first.
